Australian rider whose long and distinguished Speedway career started at Haringey. Rode for many clubs including Coventry, Ipswich, Poole, Oxford and West Ham ending his career at Hackney whilst in his late 40ís. Jack was also a top engine tuner and was unlucky not to be World Champion in 1951 when he finished third.

Jack lost his life in a crash at Bendigo, Australia on Saturday 9th December 1972, when his conrod broke and his engine blew to pieces. The force caused the engine to break out from the engine plate. It was the plates digging into the track which stopped the machine and threw him into the air.
