Started his racing life as a Cycle Speedway Star with Wembley, winning scores of honours.

Made his public debut in the early sixties as far as motorised racing was concerned in an open meeting at Rye House.

Apart from Hackney, he was also a great favourite at Leicester, West Ham, Wolverhampton & Swindon.

He was twice crowned London Riders' Champion. His trophy cabinet also includes the Skol Lager Trophy, Newport Trophy, Jack Unstead Memorial Trophy and the Midland Riders' Championship.
